SAP has acquired a mobile business data visualization provider, added Apache Spark support to its SAP Predictive Analytics 2.5 software, and enhanced its SAP HANA Cloud predictive services. Here are the details.

SAP is looking to expand their offerings around real-time & agile advanced mobile analytics capabilities with the purchase of Roambi being an entrant into this emerging space.
Also SAP announced SAP Predictive Analytics 2.5 which is a move to provide performance enhancements around Big Data capabilities in the open source Big Data space, specifically around Hadoop based big data environments.
The market seemed to welcome SAP’s announcement as the stock was slightly up for the day.
