Mulesoft announced that MuleSoft Government Cloud has officially completed its Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Authorization process, and is now available! In this blog Mulesoft details their FedRAMP-compliant iPaaS environment called the Anypoint Platform, the only solution in the Gartner Magic Quadrant as a leader for both Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and Full API Lifecycle Management.
What is the significance you may ask? Well for the most part as the blog details most legacy existing integrations are on-premise, point to point solutions. And while there are a number of emerging commercial iPaaS solutions the options become limited once you start to look for FedRAMP compliant solutions.
Furthermore, the article further talks about the reasoning more government customers should move integrations to the cloud and the capabilities from a security and technology perspective that their iPaaS offers to potential government clients.
