As a business focused technologist we have another name for “disruption”, its called streamlining, innovation, or even productivity in some instances. Meaning the marketplace has been constantly evolving and demanding efficiencies in face of declining margins and increased stakeholders expectations.

We are innovating (disrupting) at such a rapid pace that I believe we are facing the conundrum of competitive advantage in the marketplace sooner than expected.

Outsourcing is common and in some instances can cause issues with customer service if attention to key customer needs are not prioritized. So while these technologies are changing “how” we do business dramatically the key differentiator will be addressing meeting our clients’ needs in the most effective and cost-efficient manner possible. To do this will require strategic direction with advanced tools to drive new insights that were previously not transparent.
